“My advice for the holidays: Believe fully in the miracle of Jesus, listen to peoples stories entirely without judgement, and treat well the folks that bring you food.”

Paul from Sketchy Sermons

Hey friends - I’m going to take a week or two off so I figured I’d leave you with my thoughts for the handling the Christmas season. I know a lot of you are going through *a lot.* I can’t imagine frankly. And I’m no one to give advice - there are people far more qualified than I for sure. But this is the internet so here comes my advice anyway! 😅

“Believe full in the miracle of Jesus” - I don’t think there needs to be much of a caption for this. Get caught up in the miracle. It’s crazy right? I’m reading the Gospels this season and just allowing myself to imagine to craziness of it all. An ancient world turned upside down with the aftershocks intensifying in our world today and beyond. A miracle indeed.

“Listen to peoples stories entirely without judgement” - I’m gathering with people I love to enjoy my time with them and learn more about them. If anybody wants my opinion they can ask for it, otherwise, I’m listening. You already won, you have the floor. Take all the time you need.

“Treat well the folks that bring you food” - this goes without saying right? At Christmas we celebrate the gift presented to us that we didn’t deserve and could never earn. And then we go out to eat and tip $1 because “the service wasn’t all that great.” Please. 🙄 You can tell a lot about a person by the way the treat people that serve them. You’re representing Jesus; treat them well.

Merry Christmas friends. Thank you all for being so awesome. 🙌
