All treatments have failed

“All treatments have failed. I have fought very hard for a very long time. With much prayer, Godly counsel, and medical advice, God has made the way forward clear. It’s time to go home.
Honestly, I left my doctor’s office with a giant smile on my face. My heart is overjoyed contemplating being in the fullness of God’s glory (1 Cor. 13:12). Conversely, I have been grieving with friends and family, as they must say goodbye. Death is awful. But, for the believer, it’s just the beginning.
We will start the process of taking me off medications on January 17th. I will die by the end of February.”
@brooklyn_speaks here on instagram
I was sitting in hour 3 of my boys basketball practice scrolling instagram (as you do) and I came across Brooklyns post and to say I was floored would be an understatement. It’s amazing how you can come across someone you don’t even know and with a few sentances they put together on social media you instantly start feeling things you weren’t prepared to feel. We discuss warriors and fighting and what it means to have courage but to see Brooklyns optimism in the face of something so large is so breath taking I can’t hope to even replicate it here. She has every right to be so bitter but here she is praising Jesus and pointing people to God. Wow.
I highly encourage you to go over and check out her writing. Such powerful stuff. God bless you Brooklyn.
