But one of the ways we love God, maybe

“…But one of the ways we love God, maybe, other than personal devotion and obedience, is by loving our brothers and sisters in Christ. And be willing to go to hell and back *for them.*

@pdwasher at the @g3conference - The Gospel, Part 1

I try to listen to a bunch of different people so when I started seeing tweets flying around about the G3 conference I decided to check it out! I’m not really one for one-sided political hot takes so you won’t be seeing any of that drawn here but I was totally drawn in by Paul Washer’s 2 part Gospel message. He had a quote going around that read “I challenge you: over a week’s time, compare your screen time to your prayer time” and that was initially what I was going to draw here but “screen time” seemed kinda small compared to the gravity of the message he gave.

I will say - this seems like the Gospel to me. It’s challenging, it’s urgent, and it’s a recognition of the real eternity we face apart from Jesus. If you don’t have time for the full message - just check out the first ten minutes of the part 1. It’s pretty intense.

And to be clear, when he was mentioning “brothers and sisters in Christ” he was talking about all of them. Africans, Afghans, Chinese, Iranians, Russians, mothers and fathers all over the world. Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord. I can barely see beyond my front doors sometimes and this man is thinking *global.*
