I’m a huge Ramit fan. I remember reading his blog back in the day and he had “things that annoy me” post that said you should return fries that are cold not because you’re a jerk but because cold fries aren’t really fries at all and you didn’t get what you ordered.

I digress - this was a great interview, I love this concept of looking at your “messages” or really the default scripts that you run your life by and evaluating whether or not they truthful or even useful. I was really fortunate; the messages my parents gave me were useful and practical and I carry them to this day. A lot of us though get different messages. A lot of them are downright harmful especially when it comes to money. I appreciate his look at finances and the positions we find ourselves in having a lot more to do with psychology and a lot less to do with the level of discipline we’re able to muster.

Such a great episode. I wasn’t going to post today but then this dropped and I couldn’t help myself. Plus, Ramit has great eyebrows - they were begging to be drawn! 🫠
