What if the voices and expectations were silenced by the question, “Who am I?” Especially when the answer is found not in something you should be or do but in the worth and dignity derived from my creator.

Just to be totally transparent, I haven’t read this book. I have a real heart for authors because I know how hard it is to make these things. The timelines are long, the discipline required is immense, and 99% of the time there isn’t a huge payout waiting on the other side.

This book was written for women but I’d be lying if I didn’t say the voices and expectations aren’t something that bother me as well. The voices are always there, they’re usually anonymous, and I too have the false belief that many times I have to be or do something to satisfy them when really I need to look to Christ for what He says to be or do.

Be a child of Christ, do what He says, leave the voices and expectations behind. 🙏🏻
