We most often cannot hear we are beloved because our does are burdened by the sounds of stress. We want the sounds of love, but we don’t realize we may need to shift our autonomous state to hear it.
@kjramseywrites from her book, “The Lord is My Courage”
This book has been out for a while and I’m just now getting to it. 🤦🏻♂️
I don’t want to ruin it by trying to review it. It’s really unique and heartfelt, deep and introspective, and just a really interesting read. I pulled a bunch of quotes but this is my favorite as it applies to me so much. That feeling that there’s just so much noise. The autonomous state. Being tuned for conflict instead of peace. I have the hardest time just being in silence. I always have an airpod in with a video or podcast or something playing. Even when taking out the dogs for just a few minutes; there’s just so much noise. My autonomous state can be so distracted at times.
Anyway, highly recommend this one. And that cover is *amazing.* Seriously blown away by it. Great work @conrad_garner
Alright, let’s see if I can accomplish with next task without some sort of noise playing. 😅
