Racism never goes away, racism adapts

Racism never goes away, racism adapts. Just because we make a law, it doesn’t make the sin go away. We have laws against stealing but people continue to steal.

This quote was paraphrased but this was a such a good point. With practically every other sin, we live with the idea that it never goes away completely. The idea of a murderless society or one without theft or rape or malicious intent is something that only the most naive would believe in. If so, why would we think that racism is something that would ever be totally eradicated?

Such an interesting episode; I’ll definitely be picking up one of Dr. Tisby’s book to find out more.

NOTE: He mentioned a young reader edition and that’s what I’ll be picking up. I generally get those if they’re available because the points are boiled down and usually there are pictures so… 🤷‍♂️😅 I AM NOT ASHAMED!
