I’m trying to get better with promoting podcasts that I’m on. So starting with this one (I may try to go back and hype up some older ones too) I’m going to start hyping them up a little more!

Just to be transparent, I’ve got the attitude that’s like “no one wants to hear from me and even if they did they’re not going to like what they hear.” That attitude present itself as humility but really it’s fear. So while I don’t want to be prideful and go down the road of gratuitous self-promotion, I also want to make sure I’m not operating from a place of fear. Podcasts for me are like falling down the stairs, sometimes I land on my feet without any injuries and sometimes I break all of my bones. ALL.OF.THEM. 💀 I’m not a person where conversation comes naturally so I have to keep working at it and podcasts are a definite marker of whether I’m getting better or not.

Plus, podcasts are the only place where I talk about my “no MacArthur, no Furtick” rule. 😅

This quote in particular is becoming more and more important to me; I think as more and more people become content creators we have to stay planted in something real and not just be discipled by what we see online. I describe social media like a river; you hop and catch what you can while you’re there but the volume is just too much to take for long periods of time. Every now and then you gotta hop out and remember why you’re there in the first place.
