If that’s not a warning I don’t know what is. 😳

I mean, I used to be discipled by hot takes for sure. Someone I knew or admired or believed was on my side would say something kinda out of band but in that instant sounded plausible enough to be true and I went with it. I’m not saying hot takes aren’t sometimes true but so many times when I dig into someones tersely expressed opinion do I find it lacking in the grace and nuance it so desperately needs. Sometimes I do it here when I share a drawing and a quote that I haven’t thoroughly researched or with a caption I didn't through enough. I’m trying to get better but perfection is unattainable. I just hope that when the opportunity presents itself to make a correction I’m able to drop the contempt and reclaim the charity.

I don’t drop too many hot takes on twitter but one time I said the movie version of “The Count of Monte Cristo” was way better than the book and people came after me FOR REAL! 😅🤷‍♂️
