Past the Point of Being Offended

What’s going on – two posts in one day!? 🤯

@pastorroydockery put out a video today where he speaks to the Coca-Cola “Be less white” training that seems to have a lot of people upset.

I’m not saying the training is good because I haven’t seen it but upon seeing the tips of what it takes to be “less white” I think they lay out some ideals that aren’t terrible. Like he said in the video, the title could frankly be better but it’s interesting that we shut down once the offense takes place. If you take the advice here and “listen past the point of being offended” you can pick up some real helpful tools in learning and engaging with people. I posted earlier the idea that offense is something you pick up and it’s not something that’s placed upon you. This seems like one of those times where we can give some grace to the author of the training and just try to see what they were attempting to teach.

P.S. I couldn’t see the necklace Pastor Roy was wearing – I assumed it was a dog tag? 🤷‍♂️
