Many people say, "I don't have time for

Many people say, "I don't have time for.." and fill in the blank. Time to pray. Time to read my Bible. Time to spend with family. Time to go to church. But remember, you have time for what you choose to have time for. The solution is not more time; the solution is more of what matters most.

As you can probably tell from my book reviews; I’m a little bit of a productivity nerd. I don’t say that as necessarily the most productive person; I just enjoy the advice. It’s kinda weird; I’m more like a purveyor of productivity advice and much less a practitioner.

I love this quote because the whole “I don’t have time for” excuse is played out. Like most great advice, the knowledge is simple, the execution is the difficult part; you have time for what you make time for.

I make time to worship, spend time with my wife, be with my kids, draw some pictures, get some work in and everything outside of that? Well, I drop a lot of balls. We can do anything but we can’t do everything.

The real deal? There is no more time. We got what we got and that’s it. That “memento mori” rings louder as the days tick off. All we can do is answer the question that Pastor Craig posits here: “What matter most?”
