I am afraid some pastors and churches have made an entire living off of trying to tell us Jesus is worth it because of what we can gain in return. But Jesus our comforter never meant an earthly promise of comfort.

He did promise that we would have trouble.

I’m just going to give you the endorsement I gave for this book. 👀

“I’m not going to sugar coat this; Brenna’s story is rough. This book isn’t your typical “5 steps to a greater whatever” or some other light Sunday afternoon book that you casually browse and then lose in a vast collection of books just like it. Brenna writes about her life and experiences and brings you into a place that’s uncomfortable and difficult but honest and focused on Jesus in its execution. To say Brenna has been through some stuff would be an understatement but you can’t help but see the strength and majesty of Jesus through her story. If you’ve ever felt like you have questions that you want to ask God but aren’t sure if He’s even listening; I couldn’t recommend “Can I Say That?” enough. It’s tough but it’s good; just like He is tough but good.”

Yeah this isn’t light reading, but I totally applaud the transparency and honesty has and the same integrity she shows on socials and podcasts and what-not also ring true in this book.

It’s in prerelease now but I’m sure I’ll do a giveway when it comes out!

I just know making books is hard. I have a heart for pastors and work they do; I also have a heart for authors and the work they do. It’s hard and difficult and usually not worth the money but totally worth it in a million other ways. 🙏🏻
