When you are behaving as if you loved someone

“When you are behaving as if you loved someone, you will presently come to love him. If you injure someone you dislike, you will find yourself disliking him more. If you do him a good turn, you will find yourself disliking him less.
C.S. Lewis from “Mere Christianity”
I know, everyone has a take about Saturday night. Social media can become entirely insufferable very quickly. This morning nothing has changed, everyone is back on their sides and the posts with all kinds of reactions and commentaries and theories. It’s possible I’m contributing to the problem, I’m not sure yet.
It’s amazing the phenomena that Lewis describes here. Either a cyclone of love or a cyclone of dislike; and one of our own choosing.
I know everyone keeps saying “we need to turn the temperature down” but I’d say “we need to turn the volume down.”
I know for myself it's better to just not be so "in the news." Less speaking. Less tweets. Less theories. Less commentary. Less reactions.
More love. More good turns.
It’s harder and you can’t build a following that way; but man is it needed. 🙏🏻
