I think the beauty of this country is that we can disagree with each other on things and *still* get things done. I mean…mostly? That’s the ideal right?

The annoying thing about freedom is that the person who disagrees with me is *allowed* to disagree with me. I say that jokingly but you know there’s people that burn with anger when people disagree with them.

Social media has convinced us that we not only disagree with people but we humiliate them and refuse to acknowledge anything of merit they may do. Everything is binary and the language we use always sets fire to the house. Nuance is sidelined, making a point isn’t the point anymore, it’s angering the people we want to anger. My *content* is most successful when all my enemies hate it. Doesn’t matter if it’s actually tasteful or not. We can't get along with our families anymore because we all don't vote the same way? Don't go to the church? What in the world....

We got things to do in our homes, in our churches, and in our government. We’re not going to agree on things but we still have missions that need to be executed. We can’t wait for tiebreakers, we can’t wait for full party dominance, we must refuse to allow dictators - let’s focus on what we agree upon and go execute the mission?

Right?
