The Hard Drive & Your Heart

Some of you have downloaded Jesus to the hard drive of your head, but don’t know Him in the intimacy of your heart.

So this sermon blew up a little bit on twitter. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I don’t know, I don’t want to get into it. Anyway, I watched a sermon I wouldn’t have usually watched so 🙏🏻.

This one really resonated with me because the crux of the illustration is that you *have* something and not *know* something. You can have books or software or apps and not know them because you didn’t prioritize and invest the time into them to learn them. Having is not knowing.

In that same manner, it’s possible to have the knowledge of Jesus and not know who He is. 😳 Like Pastor Robby said, “You haven’t tasted and seen that the presence of the Lord is good and you have settled for a synthetic, surface-level substitute for a Holy God.”

Well that’ll preach. 

NOTE: Ok, I know, I know that I drew Pastor Robby to look like Zangief. 🤦🏻‍♂️ It was not intentional! If I ever do a “pastors as Street fighter characters” series I’ll have to have Pastor Robby pile driving a bear or something like that…
