Esther

My series on unsung biblical heroes has morphed into my series on the 7 biblical prophetesses! Today is Esther, the beloved queen who saved the Jewish people from total annihilation. Having read this book with different eyes – the bravery and tenacity of both Esther and Mordecai is astounding as the odds were totally against them and the consequences dire. With the only the promises of God; Esther was able to not only save her people but allow them to fight against their enemies who hated them. The description of the Jewish victories is intense; and reading between the lines it sounds like it was quite the series of battles. ⚔️
